The PMA Insurance Group Names Andrew J. McGill Vice President, Human Resources

Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, April 24, 2006 -- The PMA Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Andrew J. McGill has joined the company as Vice President, Human Resources. Mr. McGill will lead PMA's human resource initiatives and will report directly to Vincent T. Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of The PMA Insurance Group.

"Andy is an accomplished human resources leader and has demonstrated the ability to translate corporate vision into a structure and implementation," said Mr. Donnelly. "He will be a valuable asset for our company going forward as we grow our organization."

Prior to joining The PMA Insurance Group, Mr. McGill was Vice President, Human Resources for Kennedy Health System in Cherry Hill, N.J. He has over fifteen years of experience in all major functions of the human resources field.

Mr. McGill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from McDaniel College, formerly Western Maryland College. He also earned his Master of Science degree in Human Resources Administration from Temple University.

He is a member of The Society for Human Resource Management, the Employment Management Association, the Industrial Relations Research Association, the Philadelphia Area Council for Excellence, New Jersey Human Resources Planning Group and the Institute for Applied Management and Law.
