The PMA Insurance Group Names Michael Maguire as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Markets Underwriting
 

BLUE BELL, PA – November 20, 2006 – The PMA Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Michael Maguire has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Markets Underwriting. In this role, Mr. Maguire will be responsible for helping to generate profitable revenue growth for PMA's Commercial Markets operations. PMA's Commercial Markets Underwriting Segment provides commercial insurance products and services to mid-size employers.

Previously, Mr. Maguire was a Regional Underwriting Manager for The PMA Insurance Group and began his career with PMA in its Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Branch Office in January 2002. Mr. Maguire began his insurance career in 1987 as a multi-line underwriter for Harleysville Insurance. He subsequently has held positions of increasing responsibility in the commercial lines underwriting area, including Package Supervisor, Multi-line Team Manager and Branch Package Manager for Kemper Insurance and Underwriting Manager for Middle Market, Large Accounts, Financial Products, HPR Property, Technology and Global Risks, and Assistant Vice President of the Manufacturing Segment, Southeast Region, for Royal & SunAlliance.

Mr. Maguire has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and an MBA Degree from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.
