The PMA Insurance Group Promotes Charles Elia to Vice President of Information Systems

BLUE BELL, PA – January 25, 2008 – The PMA Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Charles Elia has been promoted to Vice President, Information Systems. Mr. Elia is responsible for leading strategic and tactical direction of PMA's Information Processing environment, including PMA's data center operations and personnel, system programmers, network administrators, database administrators, PC support personnel and PMA's Helpdesk. His responsibilities include enterprise-wide hardware and software procurement, budget preparation, business continuity planning, and technology partner vendor selection and management.

Mr. Elia, who joined The PMA Insurance Group in 1994, was previously PMA's Assistant Vice President, Information Systems. Prior to joining PMA, he was with Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company for 22 years, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the information systems area.

Mr. Elia graduated from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
